Pie Crust:

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, chopped
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup half-and-half (or whole milk)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish, crimping the edges as desired.
  2. Sauté the Vegetables: In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and broccoli, cooking for 4–5 minutes until softened. Spread the broccoli and onion mixture evenly over the pie crust.
  3. Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, half-and-half, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until smooth. Stir in half of the cheddar cheese. Pour the egg mixture into the crust over the vegetables.
  4. Add Cheese and Bake: Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese on top. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden.
  5. Serve: Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes
