- 1 (21-ounce) can apple pie filling (chopped into smaller pieces)
For the Cheesecake Layer:
- 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
For Assembly:
- 1 1/2 cups whipped topping or cream cheese frosting
- Crushed graham crackers and chopped pecans for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare cake layers: Preheat oven to 325°F. Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper. Prepare spice cake mix as directed and divide between two cake pans. Bake and let cool.
- Make the cheesecake layer: Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla, sour cream, cinnamon, and salt. Pour into springform pan and bake.
