  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Chopped fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Prepare the breading stations: Set up three shallow bowls with flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Bread the chicken: Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in the eggs, and coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
