Description

These no-bake Oreo Balls are a delicious, bite-sized treat perfect for parties or a sweet snack. Made with crushed Oreo cookies mixed with cream cheese, then dipped in melted semi-sweet chocolate and topped with crushed cookie crumbs, they offer a perfect combination of creamy, crunchy, and chocolatey flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

Cookies and Cream Cheese Mixture

  • 16 ounces OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies (divided)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

Chocolate Coating

  • 2 (8 ounce) packages semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Prepare cookie crumbs: Crush 9 of the Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or a zip lock bag and rolling pin; set these aside for topping later. Then, crush the remaining 36 Oreos to fine crumbs and place them into a medium bowl.
  2. Make cookie ball mixture: Add the softened cream cheese to the crushed Oreos in the bowl and mix thoroughly until well combined. Roll the mixture into approximately 42 balls, each about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Dip in chocolate: Dip each cookie ball into the melted semi-sweet baking chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Place the dipped balls onto a wax paper-lined tray or baking sheet.
  4. Sprinkle and chill: While the chocolate coating is still wet, sprinkle the reserved cookie crumbs on top of the balls for added texture and decoration. Refrigerate the Oreo balls for about 1 hour or until firm.
  5. Storage: Store the Oreo balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep them fresh until serving.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing.
  • You can substitute semi-sweet chocolate with dark or milk chocolate according to preference.
  • If you don’t have a food processor, crushing cookies with a rolling pin in a sealed bag works just as well.
  • For an extra festive touch, consider adding sprinkles or drizzling with white chocolate.
  • These treats should be kept refrigerated to maintain their shape and freshness.
