Ingredients
Colossal Shrimp:
1 1/2 pounds colossal shrimp (U-12 or larger), peeled and deveined with tails on
Seasoning:
2 tablespoons olive oil, 4 cloves garlic (minced), 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Sauce:
1/2 cup dry white wine or seafood broth, 1/4 cup tomato paste, 1 tablespoon hot sauce, juice of 1 lemon, 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, salt and black pepper to taste
Garnish:
Chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Prepare Shrimp: Pat shrimp dry, season with salt and pepper.
- Cook Aromatics: Heat olive oil in skillet, sauté garlic, red pepper flakes, and smoked paprika.
- Sear Shrimp: Add shrimp to skillet, sear briefly on each side, then remove.
- Make Sauce: Deglaze with wine, add tomato paste, hot sauce, lemon juice, and butter. Simmer until thickened.
- Combine and Serve: Return shrimp to pan, coat in sauce, cook briefly, adjust seasoning. Garnish with parsley and serve.
