Description

These Copycat Big Mac Sliders capture the iconic flavors of the classic Big Mac in a smaller, appetizer-friendly format. Featuring seasoned baked ground beef, a creamy special sauce, melted American cheese, shredded lettuce, minced onion, and dill pickles on toasted slider buns, this recipe is perfect for game days or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Patties

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Special Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons French dressing
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Assembly

  • 12 slider buns
  • 4 slices of American cheese, quartered
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 24 dill pickle slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the beef patty and toasting the buns.
  2. Prepare Beef Mixture. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper, then press the mixture evenly into a 9×13-inch rectangle on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake Beef Patty. Bake the beef patty for 15 minutes until fully cooked through. Drain any excess grease carefully to avoid sogginess.
  4. Make Special Sauce. While the beef cooks, mix together mayonnaise, French dressing, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, sugar, and onion powder in a small bowl until smooth. Set aside.
  5. Add Cheese and Melt. Remove the beef from the oven, evenly place the quartered American cheese slices on top, then return to the oven and bake for an additional 2 minutes until the cheese has melted.
  6. Rest Beef and Cheese. Allow the beef and cheese to rest for 5 minutes to make slicing easier and to solidify the cheese layer slightly.
  7. Toast Buns. Slice slider buns in half and lightly toast them on a baking sheet in the oven for 2 to 3 minutes until crisp but not browned.
  8. Spread Sauce on Buns. Generously spread about one tablespoon of the prepared special sauce on the top halves of each slider bun.
  9. Slice Beef Patty. Cut the rested beef and cheese into 12 equal slider-sized squares and place each piece on the bottom half of the bun.
  10. Add Vegetables. Top each beef square with a small sprinkle of shredded lettuce, a teaspoon of minced onion, and two dill pickle slices to add crunch and flavor.
  11. Assemble and Serve. Place the sauced top bun halves on each slider, then serve immediately to enjoy the fresh, gooey, and satisfying sliders.

Notes

  • You can prepare the special sauce in advance and refrigerate it for enhanced flavor.
  • For extra authenticity, use sesame seed slider buns if available.
  • Adjust the amount of lettuce, onion, and pickles to your taste preference.
  • Ensure to drain excess grease well to prevent soggy sliders.
  • These sliders are best served fresh but can be kept warm briefly in the oven before serving.
