  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped cooked bacon (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Sear the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Sear the chicken in a hot skillet for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown but not fully cooked.
  3. Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the cream cheese and chicken broth until smooth. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the skillet. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
  4. Bake: Transfer the skillet to the oven. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is bubbling.
  5. Finish and serve: Remove from oven and top with chopped bacon and parsley before serving.

  • Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta for a complete meal.
  • For a lighter version, use low-fat cream cheese and skip the bacon.
