Description

These Breakfast Sausage Crescent Rolls are a delicious and satisfying way to start your day. Flaky crescent dough filled with savory sausage, scrambled eggs, and gooey cheddar cheese make for a hearty and flavorful breakfast treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Crescent Rolls:

  • 1 (8-ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough

Sausage Filling:

  • 8 fully cooked breakfast sausage links
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives or parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the eggs: In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Scramble the eggs in a nonstick skillet over medium heat until just set but still soft.
  3. Assemble the rolls: Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. On the wide end of each triangle, layer a spoonful of scrambled eggs, a pinch of shredded cheese, and one sausage link. Roll up each triangle, starting at the wide end and rolling toward the point.
  4. Bake: Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Serve: Garnish with chopped chives or parsley, if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can make these ahead and refrigerate or freeze before baking.
  • For a spicier version, use hot sausage or add a dash of hot sauce to the eggs.
