Description

  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons fresh orange juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  3. Shape and bake: Turn the dough onto a floured surface, shape into a circle, cut into wedges, and place on the baking sheet. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.
  4. Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar with orange juice until smooth. Drizzle over cooled scones.

Notes
