Ingredients

Dough:
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
Garlic Butter Topping:
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Dissolve Yeast: In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Mix Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture, egg, and softened butter. Mix until a dough forms, then knead by hand or with a dough hook for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Rise Dough: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Shape Rolls: Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces. Shape into balls and place in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake rolls for 18–20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Prepare Topping: While baking, mix melted butter with minced garlic and parsley.
- Finish: Brush rolls with garlic butter as soon as they come out of the oven. Serve warm.
