Layer 6 – Purple

  • 2 ounces Tequila
  • 3 ounces Grape Soda

  • 2 cups Ice

Instructions

  1. Prepare Layer 1 – Red: Combine 2 ounces grenadine liquor, 2 ounces cherry punch, 1 ounce grenadine syrup, and 2 cups of ice in a shaker or blender. Shake or blend to chill and mix well. Pour carefully into each of the four glasses, filling about one-sixth of the glass volume.
  2. Prepare Layer 2 – Orange: In a separate container, mix 2 ounces tequila, 3 ounces mango margarita mix, 1 drop neon yellow food coloring, and 2 cups ice. Shake or blend until cold. Slowly layer this mixture over the back of a spoon on top of the red layer to maintain separation.
  3. Prepare Layer 3 – Orange Sodalike: Mix 2 ounces tequila, 2 ounces orange soda, 1 ounce orange syrup, 1 drop orange food coloring, and 2 cups ice in a shaker. Chill well and carefully layer this mixture over the previous layer, using the spoon layering technique.
  4. Prepare Layer 4 – Green: Combine 2 ounces melon liquor, 1 ounce melon syrup, 2 ounces margarita mix, 1 drop neon green food coloring, and 2 cups ice. Shake or blend and then layer over the orange sodalike layer evenly.
  5. Prepare Layer 5 – Blue: Blend or shake 2 ounces blue curaçao, 1 ounce blue raspberry syrup, 2 ounces coconut water, 1 drop neon blue food coloring, and 2 cups ice until well chilled. Gently layer this mixture over the green layer.
  6. Prepare Layer 6 – Purple: For the final layer, mix 2 ounces tequila, 3 ounces grape soda, 1 drop purple food coloring, and 2 cups ice. Shake or blend until chilled and carefully layer this purple mixture on top of the blue layer.
  7. Serve: Present the layered Rainbow Margarita immediately to maintain the colorful bands. Provide straws for easy sipping without mixing layers if desired.

Notes

  • To create distinct layers, pour each subsequent mixture very slowly over a spoon held near the surface to prevent mixing.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by modifying the syrup quantities or sodas used.
  • The neon food coloring is purely for vivid presentation and can be omitted if not preferred.
  • Use a clear glass to highlight the beautiful rainbow layering effect.
  • Always consume alcoholic beverages responsibly.
