- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Slow Cooker Sauce:
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water for thickening (optional)
Instructions
- Season and Sear the Chicken: Pat the chicken thighs dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, and oregano. Sear the chicken in a skillet until golden brown.
- Prepare the Slow Cooker: Transfer the seared chicken to the slow cooker. Add chicken broth, soy sauce, honey, garlic, and onion to the slow cooker.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until the chicken is tender.
- Thicken the Sauce: If desired, whisk in the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce. Return the chicken to the slow cooker and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
