Description

These Spring Flower Pretzel Bites are a delightful and easy-to-make treat perfect for springtime celebrations. Crunchy pretzel twists topped with melted white chocolate and colorful Spring-themed M&M’s arranged to resemble cheerful flowers, creating a fun and festive snack that both kids and adults will love.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 bag regular pretzel twists (about 30 pieces)
  • 1 bag white chocolate melting wafers (approximately 30 wafers)
  • 2 bags Spring time M&M’s (various colors)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to its lowest temperature setting to gently melt the white chocolate without overheating.
  2. Sort M&M’s: Separate the Spring time M&M’s by color into individual bowls for easy access when decorating.
  3. Arrange Pretzels: Lay out 30 pretzel twists evenly spaced on a cookie sheet to prepare for topping.
  4. Add White Chocolate: Place one white chocolate melting wafer on top of each pretzel twist to serve as the base for the M&M flower design.
  5. Melt Chocolate: Put the cookie sheet in the preheated oven for 2-3 minutes. Check every minute until the white chocolate wafer softens and slightly melts, but does not fully liquefy.
  6. Create Flower Petals: Remove the cookie sheet from the oven. Using 5 M&M’s of one color, arrange them around the edge of each melted chocolate wafer to form flower petals.
  7. Add Flower Center: Place one M&M of a different color in the center of the petals to complete the flower look.
  8. Cool and Set: Allow the pretzel bites to cool completely at room temperature so the chocolate hardens and secures the M&M’s in place before serving.

Notes

  • Use an oven thermometer if possible to ensure a very low temperature is maintained to avoid burning the chocolate.
  • You can substitute white chocolate chips for the melting wafers, but wafers tend to melt more smoothly and evenly.
  • Letting the pretzel bites cool fully helps the chocolate to harden firmly, which keeps the M&Ms from falling off.
  • This treat can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • For a festive touch, experiment with different colored M&M’s and arrange the petals in various flower designs.
